Rabbi Yitzchak Mizrahi, Interim Rabbi

Rabbi Yitzchak Mizrahi currently serves as the interim rabbi at BIAV while the congregation conducts its year-long rabbinic search in conjunction with the Center for the Jewish Future.

Rabbi Mizrahi was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and made Aliyah with his family as an adolescent. After studying in Yeshivot for a decade, and subsequently serving in the Israel Defense Force, Rabbi Mizrahi attended the Ohr Lagolah rabbinic training program offered by Ohr Somayach. He received semicha in 2007. Following several years as an associate rabbi in Omaha, Nebraska, Rabbi Mizrahi and his family moved to New Zealand to serve the Jewish community in Wellington. In 2018 the Mizrahi family relocated to Overland Park, where Rabbi Mizrahi directs the Vaad HaKashruth of Kansas City. In July 2019, he also took on the role of interim rabbi at BIAV.
