Joel Krichiver

Joel Krichiver, Executive Director

Joel joined the BIAV staff in 2014 and brings with him over 40 years of operational experience spanning for-profit, nonprofit, and synagogue organizations.  Over the course of his career, he has been responsible for facilities management, accounting, and financial operations. He has a BSE in Applied Physics Engineering and an MBA in Finance.

 


AMKAlisa Kartch, Administrative Assistant

Alisa joined the BIAV staff in 2016 as our very first assistant. She brings a welcoming and can-do attitude, and great computer skills to support the Congregation.

 


Kaley Wajcman, Co-Youth Director

Kaley was born and raised in Overland Park. She grew up attending BIAV, leading youth programming such as Tot Shabbat ever since she was a teenager. Kaley is very invested in the continued growth of youth programming at BIAV both as a parent of three children, who love shul and look forward to attending each week, and also as the co-Youth Director for BIAV. Kaley is very invested in working with children and families while creating fun, engaging, and interactive programming that inspires our BIAV youth. Kaley holds a Bachelors in Fine Arts from Stern College for Women and a Masters in Clinical Art Therapy from Long Island University. She currently works as the Art Therapist at Children’s Mercy Hospital.


 Leah Malka Miller, Co-Youth Director

Leah Malka moved from New York to Overland Park with her family in 2016. She has been working in the BIAV youth groups since 2017. Leah Malka will be getting a bachelors in psychology this fall 2019 with a minor in sociology. She will then go on to a graduate school for a doctorate in occupational therapy. Leah Malka has been working in education for the past five years and is committed to helping this community grow in Jewish education and love of yiddishkeit.
