Please join us us in a celebration of community at BIAV’s Purim Gala as we honor our 2015 Mordechai Award Recipients Dr. Ken Sonnenschein, Larry Lehman, and Andrew Kaplan, Founders of the Mitzvah Garden KC, and Rickie Haith, Founder and President and the Board of Direcotrs of The Friends of Sheffield Cemetery. With special recognition to Steve Rothstein, BIAV Cemetery Chair.
The Mitzvah Garden is a community gardening project that grew from the passions and talents of members of The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah. Our garden is an expansion of the Mitzvah Garden which was started in 2000 at Village Shalom. B’nai Jehudah Volunteers of all ages join other congregations and organizations throughout the community to make the garden a success.
Join Friends of Sheffield Cemetery and continue restoring honor to the final resting-places of our forebearers, whose hardship, sacrifice and love provided the foundation for a strong Jewish community in a thriving Kansas City.
